Qasr Bashir had other sisters who have not fared as well over the centuries. The Limes Arabicus is still a point of discussion among Roman Historians long after many of the Castra are gone.
Abu Al Kheraq is Northwest of Bashir. From the air you can see that it has the same footprint as Bashir, thanks to Roman military precision.

Château de Bostfranchet can be found on the Bostfranchet estate , France.

Occupied from the 12th century by the Pelet family, originally from the Narbonnais region, Bostfranchet is the place of origin for of the Beaufranchet (or Pelet de Beaufranchet) family. A manor house there was fortified under Charles I, Duke of Bourbon; walls, fortified towers and ditches were built.

The Château de Vitré is a medieval castle in the town of Vitré, in the Ille-et-Vilaine département of France.

The first castle in Vitré was built of wood on a feudal motte around the year 1000 on the Sainte-Croix hill. The castle was burned down on several occasions, and eventually was bequeathed to the Benedictine monks of Marmoutier Abbey. The first stone castle was built by the baron Robert I of Vitré at the end of the 11th century.

Gnandstein Castle is located in Gnandstein, part of the city of Kohren-Sahlis, in the district of Saxony, Germany.

The castle was built in the Romanesque style in the 13th century. Parts of the present building still date from this early period. The external walls were extended several times.

Castle Donovan or Castledonovan or O'Donovan's Castle refer to the remains of an Irish tower house or túrtheach, in a valley near Drimoleague, Ireland.

Castello Cini di Monselice is located on a hill overlooking the town of Monselice in Padua, Italy.

Castle Monselice is a complex of buildings consists of four main sections, built and renovated between the ' eleventh and sixteenth century . The oldest part, on the right as you enter the front door into the Great Court is the Castelletto, built in the early 11th century.

Qasr Mushatta is located approximately 30 km south of Amman, Jordan.

The castle was probably commissioned by caliph Al-Walid II (743-744). The facade of Qasr Mushatta now located in Berlin at the Pergamon Museum.

Hagi Castle, also known as Shizuki Castle, is a ruined castle located in Hagi, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan.

Mori Terumoto lost his holdings around Hiroshima and was moved to Hagi following the Battle of Sekigahara when he supported the losing side. He built Hagi Castle in 1604, and his family continued to rule over it until the Meiji Restoration.

Grosmont Castle is a ruined castle in Grosmont, Monmouthshire, Wales.

Grosmont Castle is believed to have been founded as a wooden motte and bailey castle during, or shortly after, the time that William FitzOsbern was Earl of Hereford immediately after the Norman conquest of England. Typical of the Welsh border area, the castle changed hands many times and several had a hand in its building.

Vecdole Castle is a ruined castle in the historical region of Vidzeme, in northern Latvia.
