Hey, I am planning on making a spooky yard, garage/haunted maze-house for the kids on Halloween. anyone interested in scaring the little ones? I havent decided what I'm going to do for the haunted maze, I have a 3 stall garage. I was thinking of just tarping off a maze the kids have to go through to get their candy. I have some props. I am thinking of getting a fogger for the front yard where I will have a grave yard.
If anyone has ideas or wants to participate let  me know. I am planning on a bonfire afterwards.

I can't participate, but if you want some ideas, check here-

It should get your creative juices flowin'.

FYI on the fogger, any wind or cold temps will screw up most foggers outdoors, especially inexpensive ones, so keep that in mind when planning the setup you might want to have and indoor back up plan for the fogger. My brother and I have both had the frustrating experience, all the spooky props and no luck with the fogger...

For the maze, one black spandex wall and someone standing behind it (make sure back area is dark) reaching out into the maze at the right moment.... soft thick foam on the floor in a dark area throws off there 'solid ground trust'

Small electric motor, some pulleys (sized for desired speed), fishing line looped and stretched between the pulleys attached overhead, motion sensor, some rubber bats and small ghosts hanging from the line... great affect especially if you have enough places to attach so they zig zag over the yard...

Nope I have never enjoyed scaring my kids nd there friends  ;D they are all grown up now with no ill affects wellllll maybe a couple ... Have fun!

My dad used to do exactly this type of thing with our garage when I was a kid.  He'd use a simple 2x2 frame for the maze and then cover it in black plastic.  He'd use a black light or 2 and also break open those "Glo-Sticks" and use the fluid to write various creepy things on the plastic (or draw arrows).  He'd hang things from the ceiling so people going thru the maze would bump into them as they made their way through (rubber spiders, a wig, anything "creepy" feeling as they probably won't be able to see it). And all of it backed up by a "Haunted Sounds" soundtrack.  My dad was quite the Halloween enthusiast when I was a kid and our house was always petty popular!

Good luck with yours!! Scare the Be-Jeebus outta the little buggers!!  ;) :P

Sitara

I used to get all zombified and hide under my porch with a eerie green light and dry ice fog.  Good time...good times.

Sounds like it would be a blast, but we have to be at the bar on Halloween.  Have a great time!!
