Pleasant Days indeed!!
Some of you may know us from the Florida Ren-Fest at Quiet Waters Park... and it looks like we're gonna TRY to get over there for closing weekend!!! We're trying to figure out travel schedule, and where to stay, etc.... We'll be driving for about 4 hours if we make the trip to/from our home. We're TRYING to see if some friends in Vero Beach wanna party with us too!
Chances are...that we'll have our "Forest Gaurdian" garb, as well as additional garb that is currently in development. - then again, isnt everything "in development"? LOL!
Anyways... any suggestions you folks have to offer...... We're listening!! We look forward to visiting your Faire for the first time!
Sincerely..... Michael and Diane
OH!! What about weaponry? Peace-tied or forbidden? what about my antler helm?? I dont want to get all the way over there and have any issues....
Woot! We look forward to seeing you in our little shire! Check out Wine & Alchemy at the Queen's Pub, especially since it's their last weekend. Also last weekend for Jim Hancock, and Cantiga.
I would also recommend our human combat chess match(es), if you like the swrodplay and fighting aspect. They're always fun.
And the pubs! Look for our Greenmen. There are three, can you spot them all?
Weapons are allowed, as long as they are peace-tied.
And come say hi to the queen. I know her... ;)

Do you mean that they won't be back next year?
Breathe, Caligo....I believe our good Madge is simply referring to them having conflicts for the last weekend of 2009 BARF.
Madge, feel free to correct me if necessary!
;)
So how *do* you peace tie antlers? ;D
Looking forward to meeting you Forest Gurdians.
If you like music Empty Hats is a good show too and the King's sing is wonderful. He has a wonderful baritone and he even sings a traditional hunting song and songs of the harvest and of wine. It's a nice respite.
Some if not all of us will be at Queens Tea that Sunday, our last day. Please join us!

Oh, OK. Wasn't sure since Forest was talking about the last weekend.
Anna, it's easy to peace tie antlers. Just tie ribbons and bells on them!
I thought we peace tied antlers by impaling peeps on them?
And welcome to Fittlesworth Guardians.
Wouldn't that be Peep Tied? ;D
Hail and well met!!!! Welcome....and please stop by the booth and join in on the daily meet and greet (Things from Rings)...lookfor the little banner...R/F sing on my table...next to me memory sign in book....giggle the time for meet'en is noonish hour
Welcome, Guardians! Got tied up ::) in other things for a minute and neglected to say hail and well met!

Yes... I was talking about the "closing weekend" ....
"Peeps" on the antlers are only fun when they squeal... :D And IF the peeps get too rowdy we put the peep-tamer garb on. >:( (see FLARF 2009 photo thread. - you'll figure it out. ;) )
Flipping thru the BARF pics thread, I see a LOT of familiar faces! It will be good to raise a pint (or three) with ye!
I do believe that five is the minimum in Fittlesworth however we shall send our peeps chocolate coated to thy antlers for the benefit of her Grace. Then there will be no wenches with syren tales to distract her Grace from thy duty at hand.
Sorry for the panic all. Indeed this is Wine and Alchemy's last weekend for 2009. Obviously missed Forest Guardians' reference to them coming for BARF's last weekend!
Must've been distracted by the thought of peeps. As much as I like chocolate and peeps, I think the thought of chocolate covered peeps may be a bit much! But I think I'd try them at least once!!!
I agree, sister....chocolate encrusted peeps might be overkill....but maybe worth a taste

Here you are with the tied up references again!
Rogue brain....can't help it! ::)
I have half a heart to bring you a gift of those said chocolate covered peeps, your Highness! For if thou dost not eat them, I am sure your court will devour them happily!
All but Lady Maude!
Is Lady Maude the one I have seen wandering around practically everywhere? In the black and red dress?

Lady Maud is in blue and burgundy nobles (blue overskirt, burgundy underskirt, french hood)
The Lady in black and red (assuming you mean black and red nobles) may be Lady Elizabeth Norrington - she's new to our court this year. She's also fighting in the chess matches.
Hope that helps?!? :)
I know someone else who has a soft squishy spot in her heart for the little Peeps and would be happy to provide a safe haven for Lady Maude's share. :) :)
But they'd have to fight me for them first. ::)
The best way to execute Peeps??? With TEETH!!! ;D
Oh, dear, I have just remembered the rules of outside food...would a gift for her Majesty and Nobles be allowed in?

Methinks you would not have an issue with a modest offering...such things occur frequently. It's primarily large baskets & such I believe are frowned upon by the keepers of the gate.
Ah, thank you, Good Sir, for the information. I was not entirely sure there would be a problem, most of the townsmen and women have seen me every weekend and recognize me as no trouble. However, I wanted to be sure.
I do believe, Your Highness, I shall (if sleeping permits) have that gift for you and your court tomorrow morning. I have spoken with Davens and oddly he is excited with the idea! 'Twill be wonderful to see you once again, and as well, fantastic to meet everyone from this that I am able to.
