Honor Bound

Many names on thee bestowed
Though myst'ry still are you
Many faces hast thou worn
All hidden yet from view

Noble titles, fairly won
Recount in song and story
Bold endeavor to proclaim
Upon the Field of Glory

Chosen place among the lists
Mighty war horse dancing
Creak of leather oiled well
Sun off armor glancing

Head now bowed in humble prayer
That Right and Might do mingle
Take thy Courage well in hand
Set now the spurs to jingle

Lance held steady, at the ready
Helm upon thy brow
One last kiss fly on the wind
Lady's favor thee endow

Queen's own Champion riding forth
Royal Honor be thy Token
Valiant victor, vanquish foe
To hold this Field... unbroken

I was inspired to write this poem by this incredibly poignant photo of one of the knights from MiRF, taken by Xanthenes just a couple of weekends ago.  He was kind enough to allow me to include it here.

Thank you!  :)  Most credit goes to Xanthenes, though, because without his incredible photography the inspiration for this poem would never have struck me...
