Father Simon

Greetings one and all. Yes, despite rumors, I am still on the right side of the dirt. I missed most everything ( OK all but 1/2 of opening day ) due to a pretty bad heart attack a few weeks prior ( Feb 5 )
4 stents and a rotor router job and I was back up, but just the half day wore me out hence I did not go in garb,, which made me feel pretty out of place but it was good to see so many faces. I still have all the projects around the house to do as I was given pretty strict Dr lecture about going easy for 3 months at least. Each weekend I would think about all the fun being had and all the people I was not seeing. And of course I missed all the food I am not allowed to have. I also missed walking around getting shots of people to post.
On that note I will explain that when people think I am lurking about getting shots, it is because I HATE posed shots.. ( OK, group shots are diff ), but a person that sees the camera stands and looks different than they normally are and I try to get the real person. I hope to be able to attend next year and get more pics and maybe even figure out the new links to here to post in the page ( 1 photo per message as I used to to keep pages short ) as I used to. I have heard that many were a bit naughty without Father Simon around to keep watch so I guess I will have to rise from even a death bed to attend. Sigh, I lost a little weight ( so its about 80 -90 lbs, and yes there is a pic of me on here a tad thinner ) so I guess I will have to hit the sewing machine and make a new garb but the old one is getting a bit worn anyway.
Be well and remember, do your best to do what is right.

Father Simon! You were missed, BARF just wasn't the same without seeing you there! Take care of yourself, hope to see you next year.

Well, you beat me to it! I was about to post how you were.

I saw Father Simon yesterday and he looks terrific! You were very much missed this season. It just wasn't the same.

Oh, and he has a new camera with a mega-zoom so NOTHING will be sacred next year.

Glad I could catch you up on what you missed. Thanks for the nice visit!

I found the picture. Thanks, Roguescribe!
Doesn't Father Simon look great?

Hi Father Simon!  We missed your photos of faire this year (especially because we weren't able to make it to Florida).  We hope to catch up with you next year.  Best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery.

Fr. Simon!  Great to see you back!  We didn't get down to Florida this year, but I kept checking the BARF thread for your pictures and was sad I didn't see them.

Sorry about your illness.  Hope you are feeling better every day.  I'll look forward to hearing that you are perfectly healthy again and then I'll look for your pictures next year.

Hugs to you!

It was good to see you out and about at BARF.   You have indeed been the object of speculation from many!  Gotta tell you, you looked great.   Thinner, all in black with the Johnny Cash thang going.....

I've only just now caught this thread, but I wanted to chime in (late or not) on having missed you and wondering how you've been!

Oh how mom and I missed you this year at BARF. It really just wasn't the same without you. ;(

I am sorry to hear about your heart troubles, but I am glad to read that you are working towards getting back to being at 100%. You look fabulous with the weight loss! See theirs always a positive side to everything, though their is an easier way to lose weight. LOL!  I heard you made to opening day, so I knew you were okay and I was hoping to get to see the new you, but I am glad you posted here it's almost as good as seeing the real thing. God bless Father and stay well.

PS
I did absolutly no arrow shooting and very limited eating (not even a turkey leg), as I was in mourning for you my first BARF buddy.
